Marian Sue Dyke
Marian Sue Dyke, 66, formerly of Alma Omega Road, Waverly, Ohio went home to be with her Lord 9:40 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon, Ohio.
She was born September 22, 1943 in Portsmouth, Ohio, daughter of the late Chester Osborn and Alma Pauline (Horsley) Osborn. On December 10, 1961, Marian was united in marriage to Jack R. Dyke who preceded her in death on September 22, 1991.
Surviving are a son, Rev. John R. Dyke and wife Theresa; daughter, Susie Stone and husband Douglas; two grandsons, Eli Stone and Dylan Dyke; two brothers, Chester Osborn and wife Janie of Waverly, Ohio and Mike Osborn and wife Anita of Chillicothe.
In addition to her parents and husband, two brothers, Lester and Charles Osborn preceded Marian in death.
Marian was a former employee of Waverly Wal Mart, homemaker and attended Waverly Bible Christian Church.
Marian was a caring woman who loved people and always had a kind word and a smile to share. She truly enjoyed family and all activities involving her grandsons who she adored. She put up a courageous battle until the end and she will be sadly missed by her family and friends who take comfort in one day meeting again.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio with Rev. Wayne Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Waverly, Ohio.
Friends may call at Boyer Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
