Geneva Lucille Howard
Geneva Lucille Howard, 86, died peacefully at the home of her daughter, Mamie, Piketon, Ohio at 5:05 a.m. Sunday, July 18, 2010 with the gathered presence of her cherished family.
She was born February 24, 1924 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Samuel Fyffe and Melissa (Eldridge) Fyffe. On December 8, 1938, Geneva was united in marriage to Ossie Howard who preceded her in death on July 14, 1987.
Surviving are 12 children, Ossie Howard, Jr. and wife Bernice, Jean Hilton and husband Howard, Darlene Adkins and husband Terry, Carol Cooke and husband Jack, all of Waverly, Ohio, Mamie Wills of Piketon, Ohio, John Howard and wife Kathy of Chillicothe, Ohio, Jim Howard and wife Vickie of Waverly, Ohio, Mark Howard and wife Lisa of Piketon, Ohio, Gary Howard and wife Robin, Jeff Howard and wife Laurie, both of Waverly, Ohio, Rebecca Snow, Chillicothe, Ohio and Teresa Buckler and husband Terry of Lucasville, Ohio, 38 grandchildren, 61 great grand children, 3 great great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Patsy Howard of Chillicothe, Ohio, special friends, Dave and Patty Stephens and Joe Halasz.
In addition to her parents and husband, a son, Chester Howard, grandson, Levi Cooke, son-in-law, Tim Snow, 6 brothers and 6 sisters preceded Geneva in death.
Geneva was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio with Bro. Lloyd Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery, Waverly, Ohio.
Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.
