Gladys Marie Thompson, 65, of Chillicothe, Ohio died Tuesday April 22, 2008 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born December 31, 1942 in Douglasville, Georgia to the late James David Frank Key and Martha Emily (Ogle) Key. On November 8, 1959, Gladys was united in marriage to Harry Sherman Thompson, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 25, 2001. Surviving are two sons: Frank Thompson and Harry Thompson, Jr. both of Beaver, Ohio and two daughters: Kelly (Harold) Malone, Jr. and Candy Taylor and Tom Weimer all of Chillicothe as well as fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Gladys was preceded in death by 2 sons: Clint and Hank Thompson and a daughter-in-law: Laura Thompson. Gladys was a registered nurse. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly, Ohio with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Latham Cemetery, Waverly. Edsel L. Workman, Sr. Edsel L. Workman, Sr. 75, of Stafford Drive, Waverly, Ohio died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born October 14, 1932 in Bald Knob, West Virginia, the son of the late Thurman and Sally (Maynard) Workman. On December 17, 1952, he was united in marriage to Myrtle (Piland) Workman who survives. Also surviving are three sons: Edsel Workman, Jr. and wife Marilyn of Lexington, Kentucky, Mark Workman and wife Beth of Chillicothe, Ohio and Ron Workman of Grove City, Ohio; eight grandchildren; one sister: Cheryl Anderson and husband Anthony of Grove City; three nephews and a niece. Edsel was a retired supervisor in instrument maintenance for Martin Marietta, a member of the O.C.A.W. Union and a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Fr. William Hahn officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, Waverly. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Friday and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Richard S. McCune Richie 36, of Waverly, Ohio died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Pike Community Hospital, Waverly. He was born February 25, 1972, in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of Richard E. McCune of Waverly, Ohio and Carol (Franks) Seymour and stepfather: Raymond L. Seymour, Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio. Also surviving are two brothers: Daniel McCune (wife) Jeanette of Waverly and Adam McCune and Nellie Dick of Piketon, Ohio; a sister: Laura Gorman (husband) Tommy of Waverly; four nephews and two nieces, girlfriend: Molly Hoskins and her children: Sarah and Dallas Hoskins of Waverly; two children: Brittany and Dakota both of Mansfield, Richard was a technician for Waste Management of Chillicothe, Ohio. He loved deer hunting, racing and four wheeler riding. Funeral services will be held on noon Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow in Mt. Elizabeth Irene Hatfield, 79, of St. Rt. 50, Chillicothe, Ohio died Saturday April 26, 2008 at Adena Regional Medical Center, Chillicothe. She was born July 6, 1928 in Waverly, Ohio to the late Jacob Henry Hatfield and Matilda (Dawson) Hatfield. Surviving are several nieces and nephews including: two nephews: Vernon Wood and wife Barbara of Chillicothe and Robert Hatfield, Jr. of Waverly and two nieces: Janet Branson and husband Wendell of Chillicothe and Bonnie Summamen and husband Guy of Grove City, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Herman, Stanley, Robert and Roy Hatfield and 1 sister: Marie Wood. Irene was a retired clerk for Goodwill Industries, Chillicothe. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Michael Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery, Waverly. Mitzi Russell Hiles, 41, of Morgans Fork Road, Waverly, Ohio died Tuesday April 29, 2008 at her home after a year long battle with cancer. She was born July 29, 1966 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Floyd and Sandra (Jordan) Russell. On August 29, 1997, Mitzi was united in marriage to Michael Hiles, Jr., who survives. Also surviving are a sister: Krystal Gragg and husband Jeff of Piketon, Ohio and family, Kayla, Tessa, Arica, and Lucas; a brother: Jason Russell and wife Denise of Waverly and family, Jade and Trey; grandfather: Cas Russell and many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Mitzi was preceded in death by her grandparents: Stella Russell and Bob and Annabelle Jordan. Mitzi was a homemaker and a 1984 graduate of Western High School.
